Entry-Level Electrical Engineer (RF & Microwave)Patterson, NYMonday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM$28.85-$31.25/hourAbout The OpportunityWe are seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on the design and development of advanced RF and microwave components. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Electrical Engineering graduate or early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience across the entire product lifecycle, from concept and simulation through prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.This role offers unique exposure to customer interaction, product development, RF design, and manufacturing, allowing engineers to wear multiple hats and make a direct impact on projects.What You'll Be DoingRF & Microwave DesignDesign passive RF and microwave components including: directional couplers, combiners, high-power RF components, wideband microwave devicesDevelop RF circuit layouts and PCB designsSupport product development from concept through production releaseSimulation & AnalysisPerform electromagnetic (EM) simulations to design and validate RF structuresAnalyze RF performance and optimize designsVerify product performance through modeling and simulation toolsPrototyping & TestingBuild and evaluate PCB prototypesTest RF and microwave circuits using network analyzers, RF test equipment, electronic measurement toolsTroubleshoot circuitry and design performance issuesDocument testing results and engineering changesProduction & Customer SupportCollaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure successful product buildsSupport fabrication and production activitiesParticipate in customer meetings and technical discussionsTranslate customer requirements into practical engineering solutionsWork closely with cross-functional teams to improve design and manufacturing processesRequired QualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) requiredMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) is a plusGPA of 3.4 or higher preferredTechnical SkillsUnderstanding of RF and Microwave Engineering principlesCoursework or project experience involving RF circuits, microwave components, electromagnetic theoryExperience with electrical circuitry and PCB designAbility to build and test PCB prototypesFamiliarity with RF test equipment, particularly network analyzersKnowledge of EM simulation toolsSoft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesInterest in working in both engineering and manufacturing environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Microwave Office or similar EM simulation softwareAutoCAD experienceSolidWorks experienceInventor experienceInternship, co-op, research, or project experience involving RF designExposure to manufacturing or product development environmentsWork EnvironmentManufacturing-based engineering environmentMid-sized company with approximately 8 engineers on staffBusiness casual dress codeHighly collaborative and hands-on atmosphereOpportunity to work directly with production teams and customersPaid holidays and accrued New York State sick time
