As a Security Officer Full Time Pharmaceutical Facility in Gaithersburg MD you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents support access control and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees visitors contractors and delivery personnel at a healthcare and pharmaceutical location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings laboratories offices parking areas and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity verify credentials as directed by site procedures and report access concerns or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents alarms medical-related emergencies and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following established site protocols and notifying Allied Universal leadership and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Prepare clear accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrols incidents observations and communications in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
