Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician position available in Inpatient Pharmacy. This role covers all areas of the hospital. Common duties include preparing batches and refilling automated dispensing cabinets, compounding sterile and nonsterile products, compounding hazardous medications, fielding phone calls, delivering medications directly to nursing units, and unit-dosing medications from medication stock bottles for patient administration.

Required skills include Inpatient Hospital Experience and IV compounding. Scrubs are required, and the department's color is Caribbean blue.

This is a 7-on, 7-off position with Wednesday overnights to Tuesday night overnight. Shifts include Wednesday - Friday from 9 pm to 7 am, Saturdays, Sundays, and recognized holidays from 7 pm to 7 am, and Monday - Tuesday from 9 pm to 7 am again. Every other weekend and holiday requirements apply if the week overlaps a holiday.
