Ultrasound Technician Opportunity At Cibola General HospitalCibola General Hospital is hiring. We're seeking an Ultrasound Technician to join our team of compassionate caregivers. Our 25-bed critical access hospital allows our compassionate caregivers to provide excellent patient care in an environment that supports them in their professional growth and development with the latest technologies. Cibola General Hospital is one hour from Albuquerque and close to Santa Fe. Known for its mild year-round climate and outdoor activities, Grants NM offers low property taxes and inexpensive housing costs.Cibola General Hospital provides services in general surgery, 24-hour Emergency care, Intensive Care, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Pathology, Pediatric Dentistry, Podiatry, Primary Care and Radiology with X-ray, CT, MRI. We have three operating rooms including a room for scopes. Clinics, Lab services, Pharmacy, Cardiopulmonary, and Rehab, and skilled care beds are provided.Compensation & IncentivesSalary Range: $60,000 – $90,000 (based on experience)Sign-On Bonus: $15,000Housing: NegotiableSchedule3 twelve-hour day shifts or 4 ten-hour day shiftsDays to be determined or negotiableAfter-hours call: 2 nights a week and every 3rd weekend for emergency cases onlyJob Knowledge & SkillsAbility to demonstrate core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, flexibility, organization, and professional accountabilityStrong working knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and current ultrasound proceduresParticipation in continuing education to maintain licensure and certificationAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and safely move equipmentEmployment in accordance with Cibola General Hospital hiring policiesEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostic ultrasound examinations as ordered by physiciansOperate stationary and mobile sonography equipmentPosition and transfer patients safely while ensuring comfort and dignityExplain procedures to patients and address questions or concernsSelect appropriate transducers and imaging techniquesAssist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures as neededTransfer images to PACS and complete all exam documentationMaintain ultrasound rooms and equipment in clean, safe working conditionMaintain accurate patient logs and recordsFollow sterile technique and infection control standardsParticipate in supply inventory managementMaintain CPR certification and participate in continuing educationProvide excellent customer service and patient-centered careMaintain confidentiality and comply with hospital and departmental policiesPerform other duties as assigned by the Director of Radiology and/or AdministrationRequirementsEducationAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography requiredLicensure / CertificationARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification required or equivalent national credentialNew Mexico State Ultrasound/Medical Imaging License requiredCurrent CPR certification required or enrollment in the next available classBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan with employer matchTuition reimbursementStudent loan forgiveness program access$0 generic prescription drugsGym and pharmacy discountsGenerous PTO and shift differentials
