Production Supervisor

• Plastic Injection Molding Manufacturer
• Crystal Lake, IL
• 3rd Shift
• $25.00 – $35.00/hr

We are working with an established plastics manufacturing company based in the Northwest Chicago suburbs. They are recruiting a Production Supervisor to join their team on 3rd shift in return for an hourly rate in the region of $25.00 – $35.00 per hour along with excellent employment benefits.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead and supervise a team of 4–5 production employees across 5 injection molding machines
• Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Drive employee engagement, accountability and performance on shift
• Coordinate daily production activities and communicate priorities to the team
• Support production operations and troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues
• Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce company policies and procedures
• Work closely with Production Management to achieve production targets
• Assist with employee coaching, training and development
• Ensure accurate production reporting and shift communication

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Previous Production Supervisor, Team Lead or Manufacturing Supervisor experience
• Plastic injection molding manufacturing experience
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to motivate, coach and develop production employees
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of production KPIs, efficiency and quality metrics

Preferred Experience:

• Injection molding manufacturing experience
• ERP system experience
• Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment
• CNC manufacturing exposure
• Bilingual Spanish skills

Schedule:

• 3rd Shift
• Monday – Friday
• Approximately 48 hours per week
• Weekend work may be required
