Job Summary: Wellstar North Fulton Hospital offers a Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care – Medical Telemetry – Full-Time Day Shift position. The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team committed to ensuring patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high‑quality, safe care. The role supports the Wellstar Shared Governance Model and adheres to the Wellstar Professional Practice Model and evidence‑based research. The RN must be licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, the Scope of Practice, and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Exemplary Practice and Outcomes: Perform the Nursing Process—assessment, diagnosis, goal identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence‑based practice and critical thinking to individualize care. Provide relationship‑based, patient‑centered care tailored to population‑specific characteristics such as age, gender, and disease. Partner with patients and significant others through bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching to keep patient goals central to the plan of care. Practice current clinical standards and continuously seek improvement. Teamwork and Collaboration: Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care, employing interdisciplinary communication methods and timely documentation. Demonstrate teamwork that is fiscally responsible and promotes recruitment and retention of all healthcare team members. Participate in performance improvement, research utilization, and shared governance at all system levels. Professional Development and Initiative: Complete initial and ongoing competency assessments and required education. Serve as preceptor or mentor to other nurses, staff, and students, fostering a qualified workforce and a healthy work environment. Evidence Based Practice and Research: Promote evidence‑based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement, including value analysis for patient‑care product decisions. Uphold all system policies, including legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards such as TJC Patient Safety Goals. Collect data, pose clinical questions, and engage experts to address practice inquiries. Resources and Support: Plan patient care across the continuum and support efficient use of human and material resources. Help develop protocols and procedures to achieve best practices, reducing readmission rates, avoidable days, and adverse events. Support efficient use of resources at all levels. Required Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing). Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): RN–Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT (Multi‑state Compact). BLS, ARC‑BLS, or BLS‑I. Required Minimum Experience: Minimum 5 years of RN experience (direct patient care experience preferred). Required Minimum Skills: Proficient in English communication and basic computer use. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer‑service skills. Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment and respond to emergencies with composure and respect. Excellent time‑management and analytical skills, with strong critical‑thinking abilities.
