Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct various ultrasound exams-including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, clearly explaining processes with compassion and care
• Work in close partnership with radiologists and referring physicians to generate high-quality diagnostic images
• Manage and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring any issues are reported promptly
• Keep accurate records of procedures and maintain patient data in an electronic medical charting system
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in ultrasound technologies and imaging best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
