Authorization Specialist

Job Description: The Authorization Specialist is an essential component of the certified agency team. The Authorization Specialist is responsible for requesting authorization for home care services for patients with HMO/Managed Care payment sources and acts as a liaison between community-based COC (Coordinators of Care) and the HMO/Managed Care Companies. Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Must have homecare & managed care experience
- Knowledge about health insurance verification
- Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally required.
- Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in Word and Excel required.
