Job Description

Role Specific Responsibilities

Evaluate patient outcomes and make necessary adjustments to care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their families regarding respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures, and discharge processes, ensuring comprehension.
Be adaptable in accepting reassignment to other units as necessary.
Share clinical knowledge with staff and students, serving as a role model for clinical practice.
Plan, implement, and assess the effectiveness of respiratory care.
Administer respiratory care as prescribed by physicians while maintaining open communication with medical and nursing staff.

Education and Qualifications

Associate's degree required.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
Current Illinois License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
NRP-MHC certification.

Position Details
