Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a travel RN ICU nurse for a 13‑week assignment in Kenansville, North Carolina. Job Details Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hour nights Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities / essential work functions Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing subtle changes in condition. Administer complex medications and treatments using approved critical‑care techniques. Operate and manage advanced life‑support equipment. Ensure patient safety and comfort in high‑acuity ICU environments. Record significant conditions, reactions, and interventions; notify the appropriate provider of changes. Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, central venous pressure, pulmonary artery catheters). Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record promptly. Provide education to patients and families about the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations. Communicate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. Maintain proficiency in critical‑care procedures and technologies through ongoing education. Adhere to strict infection‑control protocols. Engage in quality‑improvement initiatives to enhance ICU outcomes and operational efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned and within scope. Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection‑control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as an ICU RN. Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications. Preferred Qualifications Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification. TNCC, NIHSS certification. Other certifications or licenses required for this position. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communication in English. Ability to read and follow written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and PC skills. Physical Abilities – remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend. Interpersonal Skills – effective teamwork, positive attitude. Technical/Motor Skills – fine manipulation, assistance with procedures, use department equipment. Mental Requirements – cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines, work under supervision and independently, handle irregular activity schedules, maintain concentration.
