Staff Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis

Job Description

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) will oversee the delivery of dialysis and the care of patients. The RN will be responsible for providing education to patients, supervising Dialysis Technicians, adjusting treatment plans per standing orders, monitoring the patient's outcomes, administering medications, participating in quality improvement projects, and collaborating with other members of the patient's care team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of dialysis treatments to patients.
• Provide education to patients regarding their treatment plans.
• Supervise Dialysis Technicians in daily operations.
• Adjust treatment plans based on standing orders and care plans.
• Administer medications as needed.
• Monitor patient outcomes and document accordingly.
• Participate in quality improvement projects.
• Collaborate with the care team including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from WA State Board of Nursing or Multi-State Compact Nurse license.
• Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with a Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience required.
• Previous dialysis experience is required.
• Prior experience in acute or ambulatory nursing is preferred.

Schedule

This position requires flexibility to work any shift (AM/PM) depending upon staffing needs, covering our peninsula locations from Monday to Saturday.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
