As a Physician Assistant at our Surgical Center, you will work onsite within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and physical therapists. Our facility is designed to provide a comfortable and efficient atmosphere for both staff and patients. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday during regular business hours, with occasional evening or weekend shifts to meet patient needs. We encourage flexibility in scheduling to support comprehensive patient care, which is vital due to the varying nature of pain management cases. Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, involving detailed pain assessments to accurately diagnose underlying conditions and formulate effective treatment strategies. Develop personalized evidence-based treatment plans incorporating medical, pharmacological, interventional, and non-pharmacological approaches tailored to each patient's unique needs. Monitor and manage acute and chronic pain through regular patient follow-ups, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal pain relief and functional improvement. Administer and supervise interventional pain management procedures such as nerve blocks and epidural injections, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey. Maintain precise and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), documenting all patient assessments, treatment histories, and follow-up recommendations to ensure continuity of care. Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients suffering from a variety of pain conditions, including chronic pain syndromes, post-operative pain, and acute pain from injuries or medical interventions. Understanding these diverse patient needs requires a compassionate and empathetic approach, ensuring that care is tailored to individual circumstances. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates who possess a medical degree (MD or DO) and board certification in Pain Medicine or a related specialty. Valid and active state medical license in good standing and ability to maintain compliance with state regulations. Completed residency and fellowship training in Pain Management or a subspecialty associated with the role. Expertise in pain management practices, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities. Proficiency in electronic health records systems to ensure thorough documentation and communication within the healthcare team. A dedication to continual education and staying updated on the latest advancements in pain management methodologies. Prior experience in a pain management setting significantly enhances your suitability for this role, providing insights into best practices and patient management. Experience in performing interventional procedures related to pain management will be considered a strong asset.
