Senior Campaign Organizer or Manager

Role Description

The Electrification Coalition (EC) is seeking a Senior Campaigns Organizer or Campaigns Manager to support and advance state and local campaigns that accelerate transportation electrification. This role will engage stakeholders, support policy campaigns, and help build durable relationships that drive impact. Depending on experience, the position will either support campaign execution (Senior Organizer level) or lead campaign strategy and implementation (Manager level).

• Classification: Full-time, Exempt
• Reports to: Senior Director of Campaigns
• Location requirements: 100% remote
• Travel requirements: Up to 20% of the time
• Work authorization requirements: Legally able to work in the United States as required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act (ICRA)

Qualifications

• 2–7+ years of experience in organizing, advocacy, campaigns, or related fields
• Strong understanding of policy, political, or regulatory environments (energy or transportation preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, coalition-building, and relationship management
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands
• Comfort with direct outreach and engagement (including cold outreach)
• Experience working in fast-paced, remote, and collaborative environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com)

Requirements

• Monitor policy developments, identify opportunities, and define or support campaign strategies aligned with EC’s policy priorities
• Assess and navigate the political landscape to inform campaign tactics, power mapping, and coalition mobilization strategies
• Mobilize supportive constituencies and mitigate opposition to ensure successful policy implementation
• Identify risks and anticipate opposition, contributing to or leading the development of proactive strategies to build support and address challenges
• Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with stakeholders to strengthen EC’s influence and advance policy goals over time
• Conduct outreach through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings to build support for EC’s policy objectives
• Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with a broad spectrum of allies, including state and local officials, NGOs, businesses, utilities, and community groups
• Plan and execute strategic events (e.g., lobby days, roundtables, press events), either supporting or leading efforts in coordination with key partners
• Represent EC in meetings, coalitions, and public forums, including engagement in high-level or strategic discussions as appropriate
• Inform, support, and implement communication strategies that resonate with target audiences, including policymakers, industry stakeholders, and the general public
• Draft and place opinion pieces, blogs, and campaign communications to advocate for EV policies and programs
• Collaborate with the EC communications team to increase media visibility and maintain a strong digital presence
• Contribute to campaign-related digital and social media efforts to effectively communicate policy goals and achievements
• Collaborate across EC teams, including Policy, Freight, and Programs, to align on campaign strategy, messaging, and execution as well as execute joint deliverables and projects
• Track and report on campaign activities, stakeholder engagement, and progress toward policy outcomes, using insights to strengthen campaign effectiveness over time

• The salary range for this position at the Senior Organizer level is $59,000 to $71,000 and at the Manager level is $67,000 to $80,000.
