Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)

[Organization Name] is seeking a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology to support students, families, and school teams in Sugar Land, Texas. This role combines comprehensive evaluation, collaborative problem-solving, and practical recommendations that help students access the support they need. What Youll Do

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations to identify student strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services.

• Prepare clear evaluation reports and communicate findings to families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development.

• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families on learning, behavior, and social-emotional concerns.

• Support functional behavioral assessments and the development of individualized behavior intervention plans.

• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and related services as assigned.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records and complete evaluations within required timelines.

• Use culturally responsive practices when evaluating and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.

• Graduate degree in school psychology or a closely related field.

• Current Texas credential authorizing practice as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology.

• Knowledge of special education evaluation procedures, school-based interventions, and applicable state and federal requirements.

• Strong assessment, report-writing, communication, and organizational skills.

• A collaborative approach and a commitment to student-centered services.

• School-based experience preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.
