Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights - 12 Hour Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM. Options for 36 and 48 hours per week are available, with 1 weekend shift per week or 2 every other weekend.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Telemetry unit consists of 40 beds, providing essential care to patients in need of acute medical and surgical interventions. As a Registered Nurse, you will be pivotal in delivering high-quality patient care on this unit, maintaining the safety and well-being of all patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, managing acute care situations as they arise.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement patient care plans.
• Perform charge nurse responsibilities as required.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.
• Flexibility to float to other units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of recent experience in acute medical/surgical telemetry.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.
