Branford, CT | Full-Time | 1st Shift | Up to 25% Travel

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Plant Manager to lead all aspects of operations within a growing electronics manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, this individual will oversee Production, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Program Management, and Inventory functions while ensuring operational excellence, product quality, on-time delivery, and workforce effectiveness. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving growth, profitability, capacity planning, and continuous improvement across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations including Production, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Program Management, and Inventory.
• Oversee electronics manufacturing processes including SMT, through-hole assembly, box build, wire harness/cable assembly, and final integration/testing.
• Manage production schedules, staffing levels, capacity planning, and facility resources.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability.
• Establish performance metrics and provide coaching, training, and development for plant personnel.
• Manage inventory operations including shipping/receiving, stockroom, kitting, work orders, and cycle counting.
• Support business growth initiatives, customer relationships, and new program launches.
• Develop revenue forecasts and ensure operational goals are achieved.

Requirements Must Have

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Electronics manufacturing (EMS) experience.
• Strong understanding of electronics assembly operations.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
• Aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and labor regulations.
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Branford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
