If you are a Senior Project Manager that aligns with our values, we would love for you to continue reading and apply.What You Will Do:Manage all aspects of multi-discipline projects and clients from the proposal process to project closeoutPlan, direct, and coordinate activities including client meetings, public hearings, and public involvement events so that projects move forward within the prescribed time frames and budgetsAnticipate client needs, biases, and preferences and tailor communication and work output accordinglyTeam Leadership: Leading a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring project progress in multiple locationsWork directly with municipal client staff to deliver CIP programs and or projects, potentially on-site in a staff augmentation settingClient Relations: Establishing and maintaining relationships with municipal clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring project requirements are metRegulatory Compliance: Ensuring projects comply with relevant municipal codes, regulations, and environmental standards.Experience with Minnesota municipalities requirements is a plusBudgeting and Resource Management: Developing project budgets, allocating resources effectively, and monitoring expenditures to ensure cost controlRisk Assessment and Mitigation: Identifying potential risks and challenges, developing risk mitigation strategies, and resolving issues that may arise during project execution.Contract Management: Overseeing contract negotiations, reviewing contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreementsPrepare or coordinate preparation of project / client correspondence and documentationParticipate in and lead business development activities to new and existing clients through the following activities: plans, leads and participates in client meetings and networking eventsContinuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements, implementing best practices, and promoting innovation within the municipal engineering departmentUnderstanding of alternative funding sources for municipal projects, and ability to secure fundingWhat You Will Bring:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited schoolRegistration as a professional engineer (or the ability to obtain registration within six months) in Minnesota8+ years municipal experience; direct experience working for a municipalityExperience working with municipalities within state of Minnesota is preferredOur preferred candidate would have experience in managing a variety of multi-disciplinary projects, clients, and staff in Minneapolis metro or surrounding areasA history in delivering projects with positive customer service experiencesThe ability and desire to develop an understanding of, or even anticipate the client's needsWho We Are:WSB is a design and consulting firm specializing in Transportation, Community Planning, Environmental, Energy, Municipal, and Construction services.
