Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist Profession: CLS Specialty: Laboratory Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and evening coverage including holidays and weekends Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years recent experience License: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT/MT) Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - ASCP Certification - BLS (AHA) Certification Description: The Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs and evaluates various laboratory tests on patient specimens. Data obtained is used for diagnosis and treatment of disease. The scientist provides supervision for designated areas of the laboratory. Equipment utilized includes Sysmex 4000 and 1000, Rapidlabs, Ortho 5600, Vitros eCI, Vitros 350, Sysmex 1500, GenExpert, Advanced Instrument Micro Osmometer, and Roche U411. The work may involve collaboration with Meditech Magic with micro and blood bank modules and gel tube blood banking. The role requires the ability to work variable shift lengths and may involve working alone. No on-call requirements are expected for this position. The dress code includes scrubs, lab coats, and personal protective equipment provided by the facility.
