About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP, Head of Actuarial Reserving Governance. This senior-level role is pivotal in supporting the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the reserving governance framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the framework is robust, compliant, and in line with industry best practices. Key responsibilities include overseeing the development and documentation of reserving policies, procedures, and standards, as well as leading the team in the execution of reserving governance activities. The role demands a professional with a strong background in actuarial science, particularly in the areas of governance, controls, and documentation requirements. The ideal candidate for this role at The Company will be an ACAS or FCAS with a minimum of 10 years' actuarial experience, and a proven track record in a similar governance-focused position. Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and familiarity with SOX controls and audit processes are essential. The VP, Head of Actuarial Reserving Governance will also be involved in providing guidance and support to the actuarial team, and will play a key role in the company's overall risk management and compliance strategy. A proactive and strategic approach to problem-solving, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across different functions, is highly valued.
