Responsibilities include administering blood products, managing central lines, and utilizing airway management techniques. The nurse's role will involve interpreting arterial blood gases and telemetry monitoring. A strong focus on safety protocols and infection control is necessary in this unit. Candidates must be adaptable to a dynamic environment and able to work effectively within a team. Experience with electronic charting systems is essential for documentation. Knowledge of rapid response and code team procedures is highly valuable. All candidates must be aware of compliance regulations and credentialing processes related to this role.
