Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose ocular diseases and conditions. Provide medical and surgical treatment for a variety of eye disorders including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and other anterior and posterior segment diseases. Develop individualized treatment plans and manage patient care effectively. Collaborate with optometrists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards. Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology and participate in continuing education. Educate patients and their families about eye health, treatment options, and preventive care. Qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency program. Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology. Valid California medical license or eligibility to obtain one. Proven experience in comprehensive ophthalmology, including surgical skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
