Extra Hours: Occasional Weekends (Flexible - Not Required)
Location: Crestview, FL

Option #2 - Client B:
Compensation: $17.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time | 20 - 24 Hours Per Week
Schedule: 4 Days Per Week (Days are flexible) | 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Extra Hours: Every Other Weekend | 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Flexible - Not Required)
Location: Niceville, FL

Join Our Caregiver Network

Avail Health & Behavioral Solutions, LLC is seeking a Direct Care Provider to join our registry network as an independent contractor. In this role, you will provide one-on-one home and community support for a young adult in their 20s on the autism spectrum. Choose your client: Client A requires community engagement such as bowling, swimming, playing games at the arcade, or going to the movies / Client B requires bathing and grooming reminders, mild behavioral support, and community engagement like going to the park. This is a great opportunity for experienced caregivers looking to expand their current case load or pick up extra hours. These shifts are also very flexible, so we are happy to work with your schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing and grooming reminders
• Safely provide transportation to engaging community activities
• Encourage positive behaviors and reinforce person-centered goals 
• Implement and follow individualized care plans and behavioral support strategies 
• Promote client dignity, choice, and community involvement 
• Maintain professional boundaries and respectful communication 
• Ensure client safety following APD guidelines and agency protocols
• Communicate effectively with agency leadership, families, and support coordinators
• Respond to behavioral or medical emergencies following agency protocols (as needed)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for professional use (gas/mileage not reimbursed)
• Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs (college credits acceptable)
• Personal smartphone required for app-based scheduling and client communication
• CPR/First Aid Certification (required within 30 days of onboarding)
• APD Training Certificates (required within 30 days of onboarding)
• CNA, BLS, HHA, or DSP certifications preferred (not required)

Employment Terms Disclosure:

This is an Independent Contractor (1099) position, not a W-2 employment role. Contractors are strictly responsible for their own tax obligations (including self-employment taxes) and are not eligible for company-sponsored benefits, health insurance, or paid time off.
