A Brief Overview The Distribution Center Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and accurately removing and/or storing inventory using heavy equipment machinery. Equipment Operators will operate cross-functionally throughout the distribution center to ensure efficient running of the distribution center in order to meet customer needs. Leadership Responsibilities This position does not have people leadership responsibilities. What You'll Do Put-away palletized units by raising forks for placement into high racks Pick palletized units and stages for inbound and outbound shipments Inventory materials and record weight of product via an RF system Load or unload material onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device Monitor operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure smooth operation Transport resolutions to designated area Adheres to all company policies and procedures Embodies and demonstrates company ethics and values Abides by all federal, state and local laws How You'll Be Successful Knowledge of SAP and WMS Knowledge of operating and controlling forklift equipment Skilled at operation and control of forklift equipment Able to communicate effectively in written and oral forms. Able to work in a fast-paced team environment. Able to perform job in an efficient manner. Manual dexterity required: Must be able to have manual dexterity required using hands to finger; handle, feel and type; reach with hands and arms Must be able to see, hear, speak and read in order to communicate with other employees and/or other customers. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb ladders, frequent lifting Must be able to count Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus What You'll Need H.S.
