Position Overview We are currently seeking a Corrosion Control Technician Under Instruction (U/I) (Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E)) to support our customers in Mayport, Florida. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent Related military experience or trade/industrial school graduate Trade experience Certification AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 2) Desired Experience Approximately five (5) years of experience in the corrosion control field supporting U.S. Navy ship and submarine maintenance. The candidate shall have experience with processes and requirements as they pertain to shipboard organizational level corrosion control maintenance of HM&E systems and ships structure. The candidate shall have experience with surface preparation tools, corrosion control techniques, coating system application tools and coating systems used on U.S. Navy and/or Coast Guard ships/boats. The candidate shall have experience with new corrosion control technologies and how they may be implemented on U.S. Navy and/or Coast Guard ships/boats. Security and Citizenship Must currently hold and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
