Instructional Aide I & (Restricted) - Mandarin

Salary Details $22.52 - $22.52 Hourly Job Location Instructional Aide I & (Restricted) classification are currently seeking individuals who can speak, read, and write clear, understandable Mandarin for vacancies in Region West. Job Duties/Responsibilities Present educational information to students in a specialty area of expertise. Perform research, compile information, and/or prepare exhibits, demonstrations, equipment, and other materials in a specialized subject area or an area requiring special skills. Demonstrate methods, procedures, techniques, and uses of materials, tools, and equipment to students. Provide explanation to students regarding assigned computer activities. Arrange and conduct educational visits related to instructional activities. Conduct group activities related to physical education, music and other arts, and other subjects. Tutor individual students or groups in subjects requiring advanced knowledge of specialized subjects, such as languages, mathematics, science, etc. Correct student papers and/or advise students regarding improvement of work products. Education Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency and one of the following: Completion of 48 semester units or 72 quarter units from a recognized college or university; OR Possession of an associate or higher degree, from a recognized college or university; OR Receipt of a passing score on the District Proficiency Test and the Instructional Assistance Test. Special Ability to speak, read, and write in a language other than English may be required for some assignments. Special Note Positions in the class of Instructional Aide I are limited to 60 hours a pay period.
