Software Engineer

This position is onsite in Glenwood, IL.Experience developing applications that interface with industrial equipment or machinery utilizing PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) frameworksStrong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including:Data modeling and schema designWriting and optimizing stored procedures, views, and complex queriesWorking with SSIS packages and Entity FrameworkHands-on experience developing applications using VB.NET and/or C#Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot performance issues, including machine timing and system latency problemsExperience building, deploying, and maintaining applications using Git, Octopus Deploy, and TeamCityExperience designing, deploying, or supporting applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including:Cloud-based application hosting and infrastructureIntegration with on‑premise systems and industrial environmentsMonitoring, logging, and performance optimization in cloud environmentsFamiliarity with Agile development tools, including Jira for work tracking and Confluence for documentationFortive Corporation OverviewFortive's essential technology makes the world safer and more productive.
