Job Title: Companion Caregiver (Part-Time, Short Shifts)
Location: Needham & Newton Areas
Job Type: Part-Time / Flexible Hours
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Companion Caregiver to provide support and companionship for an elderly client. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, values meaningful one-on-one interaction, and is available for short, flexible shifts throughout the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly companionship and emotional support
- Assist with light daily activities (conversation, hobbies, walks, etc.)
- Provide safe and reliable transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings
- Offer reminders for medications and daily routines (non-medical)
- Ensure client comfort, safety, and overall well-being during visits
Schedule:
- Short shifts (typically 2-4 hours)
- Flexible scheduling; weekday and/or weekend availability preferred
Qualifications:
- Prior care giving or companion experience preferred (not required)
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Clean driving record
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, dependable, and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to pass a background check
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate
- Mileage reimbursement for transportation provided for the client
