This role is ideal for a technically strong integration developer who can also effectively plan, coordinate, and lead integration workstreams or small-to-mid-sized projects within complex healthcare environments.The ideal candidate brings hands-on integration engine experience, deep knowledge of healthcare data exchange standards, strong SQL skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage timelines, scope, stakeholders, and delivery. Experience working within or supporting Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), and/or MEDITECH environments is required.Key ResponsibilitiesIntegration Development & Technical DeliveryDesign, develop, test, implement, and support HL7, FHIR, and API-based integrations across healthcare systemsBuild and maintain interfaces using industry-standard integration platforms such as Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Corepoint, Mirth Connect, InterSystems (Ensemble / IRIS), or comparable enginesDevelop and support real-time and batch interfaces including ADT, orders, results, charges, scheduling, and master file updatesAnalyze interface requirements, source/target specifications, and data mappings to translate business and clinical needs into technical solutionsTroubleshoot complex integration issues across upstream and downstream systems, ensuring data integrity and reliabilitySupport data extraction, transformation, and reconciliation using SQL and related toolsContribute to integration-related activities tied to EHR implementations, upgrades, migrations, and conversionsCreate and maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, data mappings, and operational runbooksProject Management & Workstream LeadershipServe as integration project manager or workstream lead for assigned initiativesDevelop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, and dependencies for integration effortsCoordinate tasks across internal team members, client stakeholders, and third-party vendorsTrack status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans; proactively escalate when neededLead or support integration testing cycles, cutover planning, and go-live readinessFacilitate regular status meetings and provide clear, concise client-facing updatesEnsure delivery aligns with scope, quality standards, timelines, and client expectationsMust be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time as required per client demands.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)Healthcare industry experience (required), including hospital, health system, or healthcare IT consulting environmentsHands-on experience with one or more integration engines / platforms, such as:CloverleafRhapsodyCorepointMirth ConnectInterSystems Ensemble or IRISOr comparable integration technologiesStrong working knowledge of HL7 (v2.x required; v3 preferred)Experience with FHIR, RESTful APIs, and modern interoperability patternsUnderstanding of USCDI, interoperability regulations, and healthcare data standardsStrong SQL skills, including querying, troubleshooting, and data validationExperience supporting or integrating with one or more major EHR platforms:EpicOracle Health (Cerner)MEDITECHDemonstrated ability to manage priorities, deliver independently, and operate effectively in ambiguous or fast-paced environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiencesPreferred / Nice-to-Have QualificationsIntegration engine certifications (e.g., Epic Bridges certification, Cloverleaf certification, InterSystems training)Prior experience acting as a project manager, technical lead, or workstream lead for integration initiativesExperience with healthcare regulatory or compliance-driven integrations (e.g., public health reporting, registries, HIEs)Consulting experience in a client-facing roleExperience mentoring junior integration analysts or developersWhat We Look For at HuronSelf-starters who take ownership of both technical delivery and project outcomesConsultants who can balance hands-on build work with planning and coordination responsibilitiesStrong collaborators who communicate clearly with technical teams, clients, and vendorsProblem-solvers who thrive in complex healthcare environmentsCommitment to quality, reliability, and client successThe estimated base salary for this job is $120,000 - $145,000 USD. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $134,400 - $171,100 USD. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
