Maintenance Assistant

Our long-term care facility prides itself on quality care for our residents - a large part of that care is based on the ongoing maintenance and safety of our building and equipment. The Maintenance Assistance is the expert in providing a safe and comfortable environment in our building so it can best serve the needs and safety of the residents. Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Maintenance Assistant will work directly under the supervision of the Maintenance Director to: Inspect and maintain the facility and equipment Perform all needed work/repairs that are in the scope of normal practice Maintain preventative maintenance logs Determine need and extent of service on equipment or building beyond routine maintenance Collect bids on a work order that requires specialty service/repair, obtain approval and supervise project Purchase building maintenance supplies, equipment and furniture within the company purchasing guidelines Prepare and be responsible for evacuation and emergency procedures Remain on-call for environmental or equipment related emergency situations Health, Dental and Vision Benefits Paid Vacation/Holiday/Sick time Supportive working environment and culture *We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
