Senior Principal, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure AI Network Engineering

Salary: $126,200 - 264,100 per year Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in networking.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, RDMA/RoCE, QoS, EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, MPLS, tunnels, OSPF, TCP, UDP, IP, networking device hardware, OSI layers 1–7, networking pluggables, and WDM technology.
• Proficiency writing Python code.
• Experience with data center networking and cloud automation.
• Experience with virtualization, service initiation and maintenance, and meeting customer SLAs.
• Sound judgment and the ability to influence product roadmaps, features, and priorities.
• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, electrical or hardware engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to work with minimal leadership input, drive work forward, and mentor team members.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Preferred: PhD in computer science or a related engineering field.
• Preferred: Experience with object-oriented programming languages.

• Apply networking expertise and leadership to influence senior leaders and support business success.
• Track industry developments and help shape decisions that improve our products and competitiveness.
• Build and qualify physical infrastructure and software for networking hardware, configurations, designs, and tools.
• Develop labs and tools to test physical hardware and simulate large-scale networks and designs.
• Lead top-level network integration testing to ensure our network works reliably and performs as designed.
