Our client is a global company with a long history in the United States. This candidate must have a desire to learn and grow. The supervisor team has 1-2 years of experience, so this candidate will help solidify and mentor others. This is a critical position!

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all processes in a Swing Shift. This role leads a team of warehouse associates, provides hands-on training and mentoring, and utilizes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track performance and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a collaborative mindset, and experience maintaining high operational standards in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must be adaptive to situations and open to growing into other leadership roles.

The ideal candidate will learn the process and understand how things work etc. The AM Shift starts around 5:45/6:00am and close when the final truck arrives. Lots of moving pieces and your customers are internal on both incoming and outgoing shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise warehouse staff, assigning daily tasks and monitoring productivity.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members to support growth and performance improvement.
• Establish, track, and analyze KPIs (e.g., order accuracy, pick/pack rate, shipping timelines, inventory accuracy) to meet operational goals.
• Ensure inventory control processes are followed, including cycle counts and reconciliation.
• Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization across the warehouse.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, picking, and packing activities to meet customer service expectations.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement actionable improvements.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams such as logistics, procurement, and customer service.
• Enforce company policies and safety regulations, conducting coaching and corrective action when needed.
• Assist with scheduling, performance reviews, and operational planning.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of warehouse or distribution environment experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience using KPIs to evaluate workflows and drive performance improvements.
• Strong mentoring, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and standard computer applications (Excel, email, etc.).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in lean process improvement or continuous improvement practices.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations.
• Experience working in fast-paced or high-volume warehouse environments.
