Technicians will install, maintain and repair systems. Essential Functions Troubleshoots problems/complete repairs and facilities including HVAC systems and electrical. Provides emergency repair service. Participates in training programs offered to increase skill and proficiency related to assignments. Reads blueprints, factory details and schematics related to daily assignments. Reports immediately any safety issues that may have an impact on facilities, staff, students, or visitors. Work effectively with other district personnel or outside contractors. Maintains the proper tools and parts inventory on the Districtequipment to meet the majority of assigned maintenance work requests. Promotes good relations and displays a positive image with customers, the public and peers. Performs other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position. Requirements High School Diploma or GED Certificate required. Physical Requirements Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently. Overhead lifting as required. Must be able to work at elevated heights. Education/Training Successful experience in job related area preferred. Ability to read and interpret operations and maintenance documentation related to facilities and equipment. EPA Certification Strong troubleshooting skills on kitchen equipment.
