Sonography Technologist

Overview Responsible for using imaging equipment and ultrasound to capture images of various body parts, analyzing these sonographic images to aid in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities Set up and adjust equipment, manually maneuver transducers to perform exams. Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures. Conduct routine and complex studies and assist in imaging procedures. Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations. Ensure equipment functions properly, report problems, lock/tag out if needed. Promptly submit high‑quality images and documentation to PACS. Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly department. Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate or bachelor’s degree with coursework in sciences and anatomy, or equivalent, required for registration and licensing as a sonographer. Completion of a certificate program in diagnostic medical sonography. RDMS certification required. Benefits Medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage.
