Job Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns in hotel accommodations Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs Respond to maintenance orders promptly Complete work orders in a timely manner Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems Perform various other duties as assigned Education and Experience Minimum of two to three years in a hotel maintenance position preferred Preferred but not required: one year of college or trade school in mechanical, electrical, or technical disciplines In‑depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic math skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members Excellent time‑management skills Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
