After-Sales Repair Technician

SUMMARY

The After-Sales Repair Technician is responsible for technical diagnostics, component-level rework, and

processing returned hardware. Working closely with our support team, this role ensures returned PCs,

display panels, and products are fully inspected, repaired, and tested before being returned to clients or

re-added to inventory. The ideal candidate ensures high customer satisfaction by delivering fast

turnaround times, maintaining accurate repair logs, and preparing reliable hardware for redeployment.

RESPONSIBILTIES

1. Perform hands-on diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and component-level repair for PCs, power

supplies, and panels.

2. Safely execute fine-pitch through-hole and SMD soldering, desoldering, trace repair, and wire

jumpering on printed circuit boards (PCBs).

3. Utilize bench diagnostic equipment—such as digital multimeters, DC power supplies, logic

analyzers, and signal generators—to isolate faults down to the component level (capacitors, ICs,

power rails).

4. Inspect incoming customer returns (RMAs) to verify reported defects, conduct root-cause

analysis, and record repair outcomes.

5. Execute internal hardware component repairs, system fault analysis, and general equipment

configuration prior to customer deployment.

6. Maintain strict compliance with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection protocols, using

grounded wrist straps, ESD matting, anti-static packaging, and specialized handling gear to

prevent latent component damage.

7. Ensure all repaired equipment undergoes post-repair functional quality checks before being

returned to clients or restocked.

8. Manage daily warehouse shipping and receiving operations, including freight handling,

outbound/inbound shipment documentation, and inventory tracking.

9. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workbench and warehouse workspace.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Undergraduate degree preferred, not required
• Spanish-speaking is a plus
• Embodies excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to understand documentation and processes
• Able to follow and execute instructions effectively
• Ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment

REQUIRED, SPECIALIZED OR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

• CompTIA A+ is a plus
• MCSA or equivalent is a plus
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 administration, Salesforce, and ticketing systems.
• Experience with Android operating systems and embedded Android devices

WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Up to 10% travel to meetings and activities throughout the region, with the possibility of periodic overnight stays scheduled in advance.
• There is no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions with the exception of weather-related travel conditions.
• Monday-Friday in the office 8:30-5:30.
• Sedentary work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects; driving; participation in a variety of activities in both an indoor and outdoor setting.
• Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, grasping, typing, talking, and hearing.

COMPENSATION

• Hiring Salary: $45,000-$51,000
