Job Title Plumbing/Mechanical and HVAC Technician Location CO - Golden Position Type Regular Working Hours 40 hours per week Job Description NLR's Site Operations Group keeps the laboratory running by providing facility maintenance and support for major mechanical systems. The Facilities Technician keeps campus facilities up and running efficiently, fixing fans, pumps, compressors, refrigeration systems (including charging, evacuating, and repairing), plumbing, and various forms of piping. Job Duties Perform and direct preventive maintenance on facility systems Perform installation and repairs on facility systems Guide and inspect outside contractors' work Establish monthly and annual preventive maintenance schedules Perform on‑call projects Follow all ES&H policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment Annual Salary Range Facilities Tech III / Annual Salary Range: $57,900 - $95,500 Salary based on education, training, experience, travel, market, and internal alignment. Salary history is not used in compensation decisions. Basic Qualifications Relevant Associate’s Degree or certification program in construction, mechanical, or electrical technology and four or more years of experience or equivalent. Full knowledge of general maintenance. Basic knowledge of facility systems and mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment. Basic troubleshooting skills. Ability to read blueprints. Basic project administration skills. Very good team and interpersonal skills. Must meet educational requirements prior to employment start date.
