The Daily Catch, established in 1973 in Boston, MA, are family-owned and operated Sicilian-style seafood and pasta restaurants. We have 3 locations in Boston and a wholesale seafood business based out of Boston's Fish Pier. We serve local New England fish species cooked with family recipes that continue to satisfy seafood lovers from around the world.


Job Summary


The Daily Catch Restaurant is seeking an experienced bartender to join our team. As a bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of drinks to our customers while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. You will also provide excellent customer service and be knowledgeable about our menu offerings.

Responsibilities


- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers, taking orders and making recommendations as needed


- Ensure that the bar area is clean and organized, and restock supplies as needed


- Maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu offerings, including wines, beers, and spirits


- Create and mix new cocktails and drinks to enhance the customer experience


- Handle cash and credit card transactions and process orders through the POS system


- Provide excellent customer service, including making conversation with customers and addressing any concerns they may have


- Monitor alcohol intake of customers and adhere to responsible serving practices


- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking supplies


Qualifications and Experience


- Required: Minimum three years previous experience as a bartender in a high-volume restaurant/bar


- Excellent knowledge of alcohol including wine, cocktails, spirits, and beer


- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills


- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once


- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds


- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays


- Must be at least 21 years of age and have TIPS certification
