Senior Landscape Estimator

Senior Estimator | Sylmar, CA | $100,000 - $125,000

Our client, a well-established commercial landscaping and irrigation contractor serving Southern California, is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating process for large-scale landscape construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Develop conceptual budgets through final bid estimates across all stages of design.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals and RFP responses.
• Assess project risks, logistics, and technical requirements during preconstruction.
• Collaborate with clients, operations teams, and project managers to ensure successful project transitions.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating commercial or public-sector landscape projects.
• Strong understanding of construction estimating and project documentation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.

Compensation

• $100,000 - $125,000 annually, DOE
• Full-time position
• Based in Sylmar with projects throughout Southern California
