Federal Work Study Student

The Business Department seeks a motivated Federal Work Study student to support the Business Venture Program through digital marketing, content creation, and community engagement. The student will gain hands-on experience supporting real entrepreneurial ventures, collaborating with faculty, staff, student entrepreneurs, and community partners while building a professional portfolio.

This position aids our students and staff by completing the following duties:

• Photograph Business Department events and entrepreneurial activities
• Capture and edit short-form video content
• Create Instagram Reels, Stories, graphics, and promotional materials
• Assist with content planning, scheduling, and publishing
• Write captions and marketing copy
• Interview students, faculty, alumni, and community partners
• Organize digital media assets
• Support marketing campaigns and community outreach
• Assist with entrepreneurship events and business showcases
• Develop the aptitude to create and maintain a professional marketing portfolio through hands-on project experience
• Gain practical experience in social media strategy, branding, photography, videography, and project management
• Strengthen communication, collaboration, and professional skills by working with faculty, staff, student entrepreneurs, and community partners

Required Qualifications:

• Excel
• Microsoft Word
• PowerPoint
• Knowledge of social media platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest in Marketing, Communications, Business, Entrepreneurship, Journalism, Photography, or Graphic Design
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with Instagram, Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or willingness to learn
• Professional experience not required
