We are seeking a skilled buyer to purchase the materials, supplies, equipment, and services essential for our business. You will have the opportunity to increase our profits by making high-quality and cost-effective purchases. The goal is to acquire supplies that are critical to the success of our business operations. This Position is a temp position through a staffing Agency .
Compensation:$26 - $28 hourly
Responsibilities:- Research, select, and purchase quality products and materials.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
- Process requisitions and update management on the status of orders.
- Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
- Track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
- Coordinate with the inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.
- Assess the quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with purchasing software.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
