School Nurse

Hours are 7:45 am - 3:15 pm ~ Student contact Days Pay Scale: Non Licensed: $15/hr. Current LPN licensed nurse: $25/hr. Current RN licensed nurse: $35/hr. The School Nurse - Substitute will be responsible for providing nursing services and care to students in the absence of the regular school nurse. The position is located at District Wide and is a substitute job. Responsibilities Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff members as needed Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians Monitor and maintain student health records Communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding student health concerns Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with chronic health conditions Assist in the development and implementation of health education programs for students and staff members Participate in school health screenings and immunization programs Maintain a clean and organized health clinic Requirements Valid nursing license in the state of Minnesota preferred. CPR and First Aid certification Experience working with children and adolescents preferred Knowledge of common childhood illnesses and injuries Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in emergency situations Flexibility to work on short notice and at various locations within the district. #J-18808-Ljbffr
