About the Role As a Pre‑Sales architect on the Applied AI team, you will be a trusted technical advisor helping systems integrators, startups, and GovTech companies understand Claude and how to integrate and deploy it. You’ll combine technical expertise with customer‑facing skills to architect innovative LLM solutions that address complex mission challenges while maintaining high standards for safety and reliability. Working closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering, you’ll guide customers from technical discovery to deployment, help them understand Claude’s capabilities, develop evals, and design scalable architectures. Responsibilities Partner with account executives to deeply understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Serve as the primary technical advisor throughout the Claude adoption journey, coordinating across teams to drive customer success. Support customers building with Claude Code, the Claude API, and Claude for Enterprise. Create and deliver compelling technical content for diverse audiences, from deep engineering dives to business value talks. Guide technical architecture decisions and help customers integrate Claude into their existing stack. Help customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for specific use cases. Identify common integration patterns and contribute insights to Product and Engineering. Travel frequently to customer sites for workshops and technical deep dives. Maintain strong knowledge of the latest LLM developments and implementation patterns. You May Be a Good Fit If You Have US Secret Clearance preferred for defense tech customers. Prior work in government, contracting, or government tech preferred. 5+ years in technical customer‑facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Account Manager. Experience navigating complex buying cycles with multiple stakeholders. Exceptional relationship‑building and communication skills with diverse stakeholders, including C‑suite, engineering, and IT teams. Strong technical communication skills translating requirements between technical and business stakeholders. Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with enterprise systems. Familiar with Python. Familiarity with common LLM frameworks or background in machine learning/data science. Enthusiastic about cross‑organizational collaboration, trade‑offs, and balancing priorities. Love of teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills conveying complex topics simply. Passion for safe and beneficial technology and advancing safe AI systems. Annual Salary $240,000—$345,000 USD (On‑Target Earnings for sales roles includes commissions and base salary). Logistics Education requirements : At least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Location‑based hybrid policy : Staff expected to be in an office at least 25% of the time.
