Table Games Dealer

The primary responsibility of this position is to open and close tables and provide exceptional table games dealing and customer service to guests.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Protection, control and integrity of table games
• Accurate and professional dealing of cards and cash or chip transactions
• Responding to guest requests, providing information and assisting guests in a timely manner
• Count and verification of tables, start up chips and all cards
• Closing out assigned tables that may include cash, chip, shoe and card reconciliation
• Informing supervisor or Pit Administrator of any important or suspicious facts regarding specific players
• Notifying supervisor, security or facility administrator of situations that may affect guests, associates or the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino
• Maintaining appearance and cleanliness of tables and table games area
• Performing other duties as assigned

Receives direction and supervision from the Table Games Supervisor, Pit Administrator, or Table Games Manager on a daily basis.

Occasional contact with associates at all levels within all departments of the organization and continual contact with guests and visitors.

A high school education or equivalent is required. Six months dealer and/or customer service experience is preferred. Successful completion of Table Games Training or dealing experience with another property within one year is required. In lieu of a high school diploma or equivalent, five years dealer or customer service experience is required.

Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills. Must possess basic math and cash handling skills, and have a customer focus. Must be able to manage and maintain confidential and sensitive information with diplomacy and tact. Must maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations as necessary.

The majority of position responsibilities are performed on the gaming floor with exposure to differentials in temperature and air quality. May be exposed to situations where spills, wet floors or guest behaviors may create undesirable conditions. Must be able to walk, stand, bend or lift for extended periods of time.

Must be able to be licensed by the Lac du Flambeau Tribal Gaming Commission.

Must be able to work irregular hours, weekends, holidays and be available for call in to work on short notice. Must attend all mandatory meetings and participate in training and development sessions.
