Shipping Shift Leader – 1st & 2nd Shift

Pay Rate: $21.50/hour
Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM–12:00 AM
  

Job Summary

We are seeking dependable Shipping Shift Leaders to lead and support warehouse employees across 1st and 2nd shifts. This hands-on role is responsible for order picking, order verification, pallet preparation, staging, loading, inventory accuracy, safety, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assign daily work to shipping employees.
• Coordinate and participate in accurate order picking, including full- and mixed-pallet orders.
• Verify products, quantities, pallet counts, labels, and order information before shipment.
• Ensure outbound pallets are properly built, wrapped, labeled, and protected.
• Organize completed orders in staging areas and maintain clear aisles and dock access.
• Coordinate and assist with safe loading of box trucks and trailers.
• Ensure freight is loaded correctly and secured to minimize product damage.
• Report picking discrepancies, damaged or missing product, and inventory issues.
• Assist with inventory checks and recounts when needed.
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment when trained and authorized.
• Enforce safety, PPE, equipment inspection, and housekeeping requirements.
• Train new employees on picking, shipping accuracy, pallet standards, loading, safety, and productivity.
• Communicate staffing, order progress, loading status, inventory, equipment, and safety issues to management.

Requirements

• 1+ year of warehouse, shipping, distribution, order fulfillment, or material-handling experience.
• Previous warehouse lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lead a team and provide clear direction.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately count and verify products.
• Basic computer, tablet, or scanner experience.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical warehouse duties.

Preferred Experience

• Warehouse Lead, Team Lead, Shift Lead, Trainer, or Supervisor experience.
• Experience with outbound order picking, pallet staging, and truck/trailer loading.
• Forklift, electric pallet jack, reach truck, high-reach, or double-reach experience.
• Experience with shipping labels, order verification, inventory discrepancies, or outbound documentation.
