Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:

Experienced Cath Lab Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in a busy cardiac catheterization laboratory. Must ensure patient safety, adhere to protocols, and support a high volume of complex cases.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and troubleshoot advanced cath lab equipment including Siemens Artiz Z & Q, Philips Volcano IVUS, and Impella systems.
  
• Prepare patients and assist physicians during complex procedures such as LHC, RHC, PCI, TAVR, and structural interventions.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting within the Cerner electronic health record system.
  
• Support patient care pre- and post-procedure, monitoring vital signs and ensuring optimal patient comfort.
  
• Adhere to safety standards and infection control protocols during all procedures.
  
• Participate in call rotations, ensuring availability for after-hours emergencies and weekend coverage.
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold current ARRT(BD) and ARRT(R) certifications with at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience.
  
• Possess valid WV or Compact State license prior to assignment start date.
  
• Demonstrate proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures, including structural interventions.
  
• Be competent in operating advanced cath lab equipment and managing patient safety.
  
• Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and call shifts.
  
• Have current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
