General Accountant

Our client is hiring a General Accountant to handle core general ledger functions, assist with AP/AR, and maintain internal financial controls. Responsibilities

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000

Duties:

• General Ledger & Month-End Close: Execute routine journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures.
• AR/AP & Cash Management: Assist with accounts payable/receivable operations, oversee proper cash receipt/invoice recording, and investigate account discrepancies.
• Reconciliations & Internal Controls: Conduct bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations while ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and policy compliance.
• Audit & Tax Support: Prepare schedules and gather supporting documentation to facilitate internal/external audits and tax filing requirements.
• Core Experience: Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance alongside 3–5 years of progressive general accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Understanding of GAAP, solid ERP software exposure, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including PivotTables and complex formulas). Understanding of GAAP, solid ERP software exposure, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including PivotTables and complex formulas).
