Medical Office Assistant-Clinical

Our specialty practice is looking for an energetic and eager Medical Office Assistant to join our team! We are growing and looking for talented and dedicated people to provide the best care available to our patients. Come join our elite team of doctors and staff!

Duties include patient care responsibilities such as:

*Assisting patients to exam/procedure rooms, including walking, donning shoes and transfers

*Obtaining and documenting medical history, medications, allergies and chief complaints in EHR accurately

*Setting up instruments and assisting physicians with minor in office procedures

*Performing X-rays

*Casting, splinting and dispensing durable medical equipment

*Providing patient information to patients regarding test/lab results and follow up instructions as directed by physicians and documents appropriately in EHR

*Cleaning exam rooms and sterilizing instruments to maintain infection control

*Supply inventory including ordering and restocking as necessary

*Collecting specimens and preparing/labeling accurately for transport to outside labs

*Other clinical related responsibilities and tasks assigned by physicians

Requirements including the following:

*Minimum of one year work experience in a medical office environment

*Knowledge and experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR)

*Must possess excellent computer/customer service skills while multi-tasking

*Ability to learn and retain information regarding essential job functions

*Must maintain patient confidentiality at all times to ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and regulations

*Must be able to adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining a positive attitude

*Adhere to professional interpersonal relationship with patients, employees, managers and physicians
