We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our practice! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

• Serves as a liaison between the patients and provider.
• Performs Medical Receptionist and other clerical duties as requested.
• Articulate, organized, strong communication and leadership skills.
• Positive attitude
• Ability to interact with various staff and patients; the ability to multi-task,
• open to learning additional office duties including electronic medical record, procedures and compliance

Responsibilities:

• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
• Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner
• Monitors flow in waiting areas and exam rooms, and makes patients and team members aware of delays.
• Performs medical assistant duties in a safe and efficient manner
• Prepares patient for examination and treatment; takes brief patient history that includes chief complaint, vital signs, and weight; assists physician with procedures; provides patient instructions per physician’s order; conducts authorized in-office tests
• Monitors general clinical supply inventory and equipment
• Performs Medical Receptionist and other clerical duties as requested

​ Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or GED required
• Medical Assistant or similar diploma
• Prefers some knowledge of medical terminology and clinical competencies
• EMR experience is a plus
• Proficiency in using computers and office equipment in a medical practice
