Sterile Processing Technician

Position Overview

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role involves adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with established protocols.
• Inspect and ensure the functionality of instruments before they are sent to the operating room.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment usage.
• Collaborate with surgical staff to meet procedural needs and ensure timely instrument availability.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies and instruments.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sterilization processes and infection control standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Shift Details

This position is a full-time assignment with a shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The duration of the assignment is 13 weeks.
