Job Overview

Smile Dental Center is seeking a skilled, patient-focused Orthodontist for an immediate part-time opportunity at our Shelton, CT practice. You will step into an active, fully transition-ready caseload. This position offers competative compensation and a highly supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality orthodontic care to an existing caseload of children, teens, and adults.
Diagnose dental irregularities and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.
Manage and adjust traditional braces, clear aligners, and various orthodontic appliances.
Collaborate closely with our general dentists, specialists, and dental assistants to ensure seamless patient care.
Maintain accurate, detailed electronic patient records and treatment notes.

Schedule & Commitment

Status: Part-Time
Timeline: Immediate start
Days/Hours: Flexible (To be discussed; open to coordinating specific days per week or month to fit your availability)

Qualifications & Requirements

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
Certificate or Master’s degree in Orthodontics from an accredited residency program.
Active, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Connecticut.
Current malpractice insurance (or willingness to obtain).
Strong communication skills with a gentle, patient-centric clinical approach.
